Timed to coincide with the Mother's Day observance in both the United States and Canada, this edition for the weekend of May 10th features numerous songs and artist comments about mothers and mothering. Paul visits with Karen Peck Gooch and Susan Jackson (Karen Peck & New River), Susan Whisnant (Whisnants), Kim Collingsworth (Collingsworth Family), Roger Talley (Talley Trio), Sheri Easter (Jeff & Sheri Easter), Charlotte Ritchie and others.
And, in his Featured Artist spotlight are the Bates Family from Winchester, Virginia. We'll visit with brothers Tony and Tim Bates and Tim's wife, LaDonna. You'll hear songs from their current This Place CD. And, you'll hear amazing stories of healing for both Tony and Tim, both of whom doctors said would never be able to do what they're doing today. And LaDonna will tell you an amazing story about the birth of their latest child — and why, as a mother, she feels so blessed by the Lord.

First off, this weekend of May 10th, the Jubilee takes you to Mount Vernon, Illinois … where the year is 1980 and on stage are the mighty Kingsmen. Be ready to listen to the first of three segments of the much-acclaimed and often voted as the best “live concert” recording ever . . . Live – Naturally! (The remaining portion of the concert will be heard over the next two weekends ... due to, as we've noted before, an ill-conceived federal law and the record companies owning the masters placing restrictions on XM, limiting its ability to play entire recordings at one time.) In the magical lineup for this performance are Ernie Phillips, Jim Hammill, Wayne Maynard, Ray Reese with Eldrige Fox joining in as well, and Anthony Burger at the piano.
The second concert of the evening is by the Talley family … a 1999 performance titled Talley Reunion … After Eight Years, with Kirk joining the rest of the family ... Roger, Debra and Lauren.
